    Important Message Regarding Eligibility Checks for Latrobe Members requiring emergency admission between 9:00am to 4:00pm Saturday 11 Dec 2021.

    Due to important scheduled maintenance, there will be no capacity to complete Online Eligibility Checks for any Latrobe members between 9:00am to 4:00pm Saturday 11 Dec 2021.

    Latrobe Health Services recommends that all non-urgent Eligibility Checks are completed outside of these times.

    To ensure our members are not compromised by the unavailability of the online eligibility check Latrobe Health Services advises that if any of our members require an unplanned, urgent, or emergency admission during this period we will accept liability for any hospital costs including accommodation, theatre and prosthesis incurred in accordance with the HPPA for a contracted facility and the members level of cover during this time. In the event that the hospital does not have a contract with Latrobe we will undertake to pay the applicable benefit whether that is the 2nd tier rate or the standard non-contract rate.
    It is expected that in this event the admitting hospital will make contact either directly by phone or by Online checking as soon as practicable at the start of business on Monday 13 December 2021 to confirm cover.

    We would ask that the member is advised at the time of this admission that they will be responsible for the payment of any excess that may apply to their cover and that if they are not financial at the time of admission that they will need to correct this so that we can finalise any payment.

    If the member has not served all waiting periods we will honour the period between 9:00am to 4:00pm Saturday 11 Dec 2021 regardless of whether the condition is determined a Pre existing Condition.

    We will undertake to work with the admitting hospital from the start of business on Monday 13 December 2021 to resolve any issues regarding ongoing care.
    We apologise for this inconvenience and would ask that you work with us to ensure that our members are not compromised in accessing the care they may require during this period.
