This week, Latrobe Health Services kicked off its Giving Tree Appeal at offices and branches in Gippsland. Latrobe Health is again supporting the Gippsland community by accepting unwrapped gifts and non-perishable hamper food for Quantum Support Services clients.

The Christmas Giving Tree Appeal helps ensure that Christmas is a special day for Gippslanders and Latrobe is calling for community and member support to gather as many gifts as possible.

Latrobe Health Services CEO, Ian Whitehead, said Latrobe Health is a proud supporter of many community organisations.

“We recognise organisations like Quantum do an amazing job in our community, and we’re proud to be supporters of their work,” said Mr. Whitehead.

“We know that this year has been another challenging one. Donating a gift to our Giving Tree Appeal can help take pressure off families who are already experiencing a stressful and difficult time.

“Donating a gift can bring a smile to the faces of children and their families at a special time of year,” continued Mr Whitehead.

Donations can include unwrapped new toys for children aged 0-18; new linen, toiletries and other items for women starting their lives over and non-perishable food for gift hampers

Quantum is a Gippsland based organisation with offices in Morwell, Warragul, Sale, and Bairnsdale. They support the local community with services including foster and kinship care, homelessness support, family violence services, and more.

Over the past three years, Latrobe Health Services has returned more than $17.3 million to members and the community through deferring rate rises, rolling over unused extras benefits, partnering with community organisations, and giving back financially to its members.

Christmas Giving Trees are on display in Latrobe Health Services branches in Warragul, Moe, Maryvale Private Hospital, Traralgon, and Bairnsdale. Gifts will be accepted until Friday, 9 December. Please check branch hours on our website.
