Gippsland's not-for-profit private health insurer Latrobe Health Services will open a flagship Member Experience Hub in Warragul that will serve as a prototype for a refresh of the insurer’s branches throughout Gippsland.
The hub, designed after feedback from Latrobe Health Services members, opens at 39 Smith Street Warragul on 1 November and will be staffed by customer experience consultants who work across all of Latrobe Health’s Gippsland branches.
In conjunction with the opening, Latrobe Health is offering Six Weeks Free* for new members who join in store on combined hospital and extras cover during November.
Latrobe Health Chief Executive Officer Ian Whitehead said the hub demonstrated the fund’s continuing commitment to personalised service and care for members.
“The hub demonstrates Latrobe's commitment to regional, personalised service and care for members,” Mr Whitehead said.
“With the new hub, we wanted to create a space that feels good, and a hub where our members can be comfortable whether it’s taking a few minutes to make a claim, or a little longer while reviewing their hospital or extras cover,” Mr Whitehead said.
“Our regional members and members from Warragul, Drouin and surrounds gave us their feedback while we were designing and conceptualising our flagship store, and this influenced our designs. We’re really excited to see what they think when we open our doors.”
The hub features seated service areas, open spaces and a bold, fresh look. It is conveniently located opposite the Warragul post office and close to public toilets and disabled car parking.
“Unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions, we’ve been unable to have a grand opening of the space, or host some of our members ahead of our opening. But we are excited to welcome existing and prospective members alike into the new hub,” Mr Whitehead said.

The hub will be open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. It’s important to note that the new hub is cashless and will not accept cheques – all payments and claims will be processed electronically.
