From today, you’re going to be seeing a lot more of Latrobe Health Services following the launch of ‘the health fund with heart’ campaign.

Latrobe Health’s commitment to its members and regional communities takes shape in the new campaign, which will run on Gippsland free-to-air TV, billboards and display panels, cinemas and commercial radio from mid-March.

“We’re a not-for-profit, member-owned health fund with pride in our community and a connection with our members. We’ve long been a contributor to our community – and that’s why we think ‘the health fund with heart’ works so well.  We exist to serve our members and support regional communities,” Latrobe’s Head of Communication and Marketing Kate Simmons said.

Our support for the community includes a continued commitment to Maryvale Private Hospital, which Latrobe founded and has operated since 1991.

MPH, which employs more than 160 staff, is Gippsland’s only acute medical and surgical private hospital and has cared for more than 40,000 people since it opened its doors 30 years ago.

We also committed about $250,000 in relief for our members and communities impacted by the January 2020 bushfires. This included a $75,000 donation to the Gippsland Emergency Relief Fund for immediate financial grants and premium waivers for members facing hardship as a result of the fires.

“This year we want to be more visible and tell more people about who we are and strengthen the engagement we have with 84,000 Australians who trust us with their private health cover,” Ms Simmons said.

“This campaign also talks to some of the things Australians can expect to see coming from Latrobe Health in the future – more focus on investing in regional communities, more value for members. The launch of our new extras cover's and mobile claiming app is just the beginning.

“We want everyone to know we’re the health fund with heart,” Ms Simmons said.

The official launch of the health fund with heart takes place on Sunday 15 March 2020.
