We are thrilled to partner with the not-for-profit organisation Jean Hailes for Women’s Health, to bring a women’s health service to Gippslanders.

As a member-owned, not-for-profit health fund, we enjoy nothing more than giving back to our members and communities.

Jean Hailes at Maryvale Private Hospital

Every working day, three Gippsland women travel outside of the region to attend a Jean Hailes Clinic – over five years this equates to 15,000 hours of travel time for Gippsland women.

You can now take the stress out of travelling to Melbourne for your consultation with private, nurse-supported telehealth services available at the convenient and close-to-home location of Maryvale Private Hospital.

A private and professional telehealth appointment with your consultant will be set up and ready for you upon arrival, while a trained nurse will be available to aid you with any queries or problems and supply further explanations and help afterwards.

About Jean Hailes for Women's Health

Founded in 1992 in honour of an extraordinary medical practitioner, Dr Jean Hailes, Jean Hailes for Women's Health is a national not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving women’s knowledge and understanding of complex health issues. Their aim is to translate the latest scientific and medical evidence to help inspire positive change in women and girls by improving their physical health and well-being.

Jean Hailes has a unique model, combining medical centres, research and a department that translates the latest health findings into practical, accessible information on our website, through resources, educational programs and health professional events.

Jean Hailes only produces trusted evidence-based information reviewed by their in-house team of clinicians.

Take control of your Health

To celebrate the new partnership between Latrobe Health Services, Jean Hailes for Women's Health and Maryvale Private Hospital, we hosted a free women's health event in Traralgon. More than 250 people joined us for a morning of empowerment and inspiration on Friday, 25 November 2022 at the Gippsland Performing Arts Centre in Traralgon.

The event featured a keynote speech from Dr Jana Pittman and a panel discussion with Jean Hailes experts, Gippsland women's health and local gynaecologist, Dr Sami Choudhuri.
